Reviews
The salmon and mackerel sashimi were good. The tempura was okay.
We all felt SICK that night after eating our dinner here last night (ebi tempura, toro sushi, National beef sukiyaki).
Small portions.
Overpriced.
Not too authentic.
The sukiyaki here, in particular, is excessively salty and sweet and was poorly prepared at our table by the waitress.
100% not worth the price we paid.
The food quality is nothing special, many dishes are overseasoned, and portion sizes for group sukiyaki are super small.
We won’t be coming back.
Had a good time eating here but the experience and the food did not particularly mark me so I think my rating is appropriate, and potentially even generous. There was some confusion between the waiters with regards to what was available and what wasn't because one would say yes and the other would say no and then I'd receive a lower grade sushi dish (in terms of tuna fat content) without being asked. Most importantly however, every specific dish I wanted to try was unavailable (toro, chutoro and unagi) 🥲 so we opted for the largest sushi/sashimi combo platter, which was fresh but ok/pleasant, several pieces were really quite miniscule. The miso eggplant and sea urchin however were spectacular, and kind of carried the dinner. All in all great ingredients, didn't LOVE it, but know several people that really enjoy this place, so I don't want to prevent anyone from having a great experience here, give it a try! ✌️😊
Out of all the sushi I’ve ever tried, this was the best sushi hands down. The sushi is made fresh, the atmosphere is great, and the experience overall was amazing. We tried sashimi, rice rolls, tempura, and the miso fried eggplant, and everything was absolutely delicious, we even ordered seconds of some items.
Definitely recommending this spot for a Japanese taste in Lisbon.
Had a birthday dinner here. I can say this is one of the authentic Japanese restaurants which is hard to find out of Japan. Unaju (grilled eels on the rice) which is my favorite, was awesome, and so as Anmitsu, that’s slightly different to the real one but still good.
I could talk a bit with a Brazilian-Japanese waitress who told me the history of the restaurant. They used to have a Japanese chef who passed away lately. However, Portuguese and Brazilian chefs definitely succeed his skills and spirit.
Entirely my partner and I had really satisfactory great dinner for my birthday and recommend to anyone who would like to have authentic Japanese food.
I had an excellent culinary experience. It was on the same level as what I have experienced in good restaurants in Japan. The chefs and apprentices work in front of you and you can ask at any time for explanations about their work. The fish and seafood are extra fresh and the meat is of high quality. An excellent and unexpected experience since I came in almost by chance without any reservation.
One of the best sushi experiences I had for a while. The sushi chef was very friendly and professional, very knowledgeable too. The atmosphere is upscale but not stuck up. It’s a bit on a pricier side, but definitely worth it. I am coming back next time I’m in Lisbon.
Such a nice place , service atmosphere and staff are so nice and cool
